The First Five Weeks Feeding Clinic™
Warm, judgment-free feeding support for new mamas, held right here at Sacred Heart Family Medicine, so you don't have to wait weeks or months to have your questions answered.
You are not alone in this.
So many new mothers leave the hospital believing that pain, exhaustion, and endless feeding sessions are simply part of the deal. By the time they reach out for help, weeks, sometimes months, have already gone by.
We wanted to meet you sooner. The First Five Weeks Feeding Clinic™ is a gentle, monthly screening morning designed for families in the earliest, tenderest weeks of the newborn period, a place to bring your questions before frustration becomes the norm.
No judgment. No pressure. Just support, from someone who's here to listen.

What Happens at Your Visit
- You'll have a full, unhurried conversation about your feeding concerns, no rushing, no judgment.
- We'll gently observe latch and feeding patterns together.
- Your baby will be screened for oral function concerns, including possible tongue or lip tie.
- You'll leave with reassurance, education, and a clear next step: whether that's a referral, a follow-up, or simply peace of mind.

What This Is (and What It Isn't)
This program is built around education and support, not diagnosis.
- A screening is not a diagnosis
- Not every feeding difficulty is caused by a tongue or lip tie
- Many feeding concerns have multiple contributing factors
- Our role is to help you decide if further evaluation would be helpful

Mamas Who've Been There
You don't have to take our word for it.
Beth's lactation class is wonderful. Her knowledge and expertise is comforting and makes nursing so enjoyable. I'm so glad I've met her and other wonderful mommas to help me on my first nursing journey. Highly recommend!
Bethany was really helpful in alleviating my worries and anxiety around breastfeeding in her small group!
Bethany was absolutely amazing! She walked step by step with us through a tongue and lip tie release and made sure we felt comfortable the whole time. She went above and beyond and provided us with research and ways to help our daughter after the release. She was amazing with our newborn and we'd welcome her back into our home at any time!
Come as you are. We're glad you're here.
