Mama and Muffins in Plainfield: A Morning Made for Expecting Mamas

If you are pregnant and you are already carrying questions about breastfeeding, sleep, and what your body is going to need after birth, this morning is for you.

Mama and Muffins in Plainfield is happening on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at Flow of Life Chiropractic in Plainfield, Indiana. Four local experts who work with mamas and babies every single day are coming together to answer the questions you are already thinking about before you even know how to ask them.

Muffins. Coffee. Juice. A gift bag. Four digital guides. And the kind of real, unhurried conversation that does not fit inside a standard prenatal appointment.

Tickets are $27 and space is intentionally limited. Here is everything you need to know.

What Is Mama and Muffins Plainfield?

Mama and Muffins is a small group morning event created for expecting mamas who want more than a pamphlet and a polite smile.

Four local experts in the maternal and infant health space will be in the room with you. You will hear from all of them, ask your actual questions, and leave knowing things you genuinely needed to know before your baby arrived.

This is not a lecture. It is a live Q&A with people who do this work every day and who care deeply about how your postpartum experience goes.

Who Will Be in the Room

Bethany Lovern, Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Breastfeeding Counselor

That is me. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with a master’s degree and a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor. I work with mamas and babies in Brownsburg, Plainfield, Avon, Zionsville, and across the westside of Indianapolis, focusing on breastfeeding support, tongue-tie evaluation, and oral motor feeding.

Bethany is there to answer questions about what breastfeeding actually feels like in those first days, what to do if it hurts, what a tongue-tie really is and how you would know, and how to tell whether your baby is getting enough milk. If you have questions you have been embarrassed to ask anyone, this is the room.

Dr. Rachel Franco, Chiropractor

Dr. Rachel specializes in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care, and her work sits right at the intersection of mine. She will be there to talk about what tension in the body and nervous system can mean for both a pregnant mama and a new baby, and why some babies who struggle at the breast are actually carrying body tension that can be addressed.

Courtney Campbell, Sleep Consultant

If you are wondering how you are going to survive the newborn sleep phase, Courtney is exactly who you want in the room. She helps families understand what is developmentally normal in those first weeks and what you can think about even before your baby arrives. Sleep feels impossibly far away when you are still pregnant, but having a framework matters.

Dr. Amy Robinson, Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist

Amy works with mamas before and after birth, and her area of expertise is the fourth trimester, what your body goes through after delivery and what early care can change for you long term. This does not get nearly enough airtime in standard prenatal care. You deserve to know what is coming and what you can do about it.

Why a Morning Like This Matters

The mamas who have the best postpartum experiences are almost always the ones who went in with good information.

Not because they did everything perfectly. But because when something got hard, they already had language for it. They knew what a tongue-tie was. They had someone’s name in their phone they could call. The mama already understood that nipple pain is not something to push through and hope for the best.

A morning like this gives you that. Not a guarantee that everything will be easy. Just the right information at the right time, from the right people.

If you want to read more before the event, this breastfeeding prep checklist is a good place to start. And if tongue-tie has come up at any point in your pregnancy, the free Tongue-Tie Symptoms Guide is worth saving before your baby arrives.
